Our in-house clinical nutritionist, Shannon Rosie, believes in giving her cocktails a health conscious makeover so they are not only delicious, but far more nutritious!
"I love this time of year. The sun is shining and we all reemerge from our winter hibernation. There is no better way to celebrate the beginning of silly season than with a *clink* of something bubbly" says Shannon.
This recipe is a twist on the classic mimosa, but made with fresh grapefruit juice for its beauty benefits.
"Grapefruit is packed full of collagen building vitamin C, lycopene for skin UV protection and flavonoids to reduce inflammation - much better than sugary processed traditional OJ! Plus the fresh rosemary works as aromatherapy to give your liver some TLC."
30mls fresh grapefruit juice
dry (brute) Champagne or Prosecco of choice
1 sprig fresh rosemary
This recipe could not be more simple to make! Just pour your freshly squeezed grapefruit juice into a flute shaped glass. Slowly add in the bubbles and garnish with a sprig of rosemary and a fresh slice of grapefruit.
