Did you know that it takes up to 500 years for generic coffee pods to breakdown in landfill!
When we found this out we upgraded our standard Nespresso pods for something oh-so much better - Tripod Coffee! Tripod's mission is to "regenerate the earth instead of pollute it" and that is something we can absolutely get behind.
These new and improved coffee pods are certified organic coffee, completely compostable pods, carbon neutral shipping & of course, delicious. They even have a close loop ‘pod to plant’ system that converts all used pods into ‘green electricity’ by utilising them as nutrient rich fertiliser for Aussie farmers and a for-purpose loyalty program where you can plant trees with your loyalty points
Just in 2020:
Over 3,280 kgs of used coffee pods were diverted from landfill thanks to their Pod-to-Plant Returns Program.
126 trees were donated thanks a profit share with Rainforest Rescue, a local non-for-profit, to donate a percentage of our profits to restoring land in the Daintree Rainforest.
Over 80 tonnes of carbon was offset thanks to nation wide carbon neutral shipping as well as additional community encouragement to purchase carbon offsets.
